"A bit tired but staff make up for it ."
We stayed here over London Marathon weekend while supporting our family member. The actual hotel itself
Is a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. But I gave it 5 star just on service from staff alone and cleanliness of the room. The staff were honestly brilliant. Could not do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. They made the stay to be fair. The bar area again a bit tired. That was also not particularly clean, there was thick dust on the light fittings for example. But the tables cleaned and cleared. They also have a crazy system for using the toilet in that you need a key card to get in it! Even if you are just using the bar! Which you have to keep on asking the staff to let you in if you don’t have it. Which I am sure their time could be better spent. However it was not any trouble for them. They looked after our cases before and after checkout. So our stay was comfortable because of them really. There was a lovely lady on reception I wish I had taken her name as she deserves a mention. I think she was Spanish. Nice touch that provided drinks at reception and on London marathon day they had refreshments in reception. Good location for the tube etc. noisy at night from outside, but we are country bumpkins and it is London.

"Pleasant Premier Inn"
Stayed for 3 nights when attending the marathon to support our daughter. You always know what you are getting with Premier Inn. Usual quality nights sleep and the room (127) was very spacious. You have to let them know if you want your room cleaned if staying more than one night but even if you don’t then you can ask for fresh towels at reception. Due to marathon commitments and others we only ate once in the restaurant which was breakfast on the Monday morning but was excellent as always. Only thing that stopped me giving this a 5 rating was the bathrooms were a bit dated and can do with a bit of a refresh…not enough to put us off though.
Location wise great if travelling to Kings Cross / St Pancras railway station as a short walk away and also Euston tube station is only a short walk with many connecting tubes into other parts of central London.
Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

"A step back in time but has its positives"
Was in London for marathon so wanted hotel handy for transportation and seen this was next to station. The outer of the hotel is not that appealing looks like an office block from the 80s.
The reception was self check in and out which was very easy but the rooms were very tired and dated could definitely do with a bit of modernisation. The rooms itself was very dated units damaged and marks on carpet, the safety lock on door didn’t lock and the shower was actually in the bath with a very high side making it almost unsafe to get in and out of.There was a few other bits and pieces but I feel as I already stated it needs a bit of bringing up to date
The good points were the bed was certainly comfortable and the bar and restaurant was pleasant, breakfast was definitely a plus as well . Found bar and restaurant staff very helpful and pleasant but felt they were certainly working for their wages . Multitasking is one word I would use for them , spoke to Ada and nothing was a problem for her
We sat outside on the decking area but I would say it should either be shut down or replaced as felt like you could have easily fallen through the boards which were lose and moved under foot ,the tables had been used to stub out lots of cigarettes over their time and again could do with replacing.
Overall it’s a sad property which is in an excellent location and could have huge potential

"Convenient but expensive for the level of service, cleanliness is lacking"
The hotel's location is ideal: subways and buses nearby, 20 minutes from central London. This is definitely the hotel's strongest point.
Check-in is very quick thanks to the self-service kiosks available.
The rooms are quite spacious but a bit cramped with two children. The bedding is adequate and the hotel is fairly quiet (inside). The breakfasts are very good, with plenty of choice and tasty options.
However, we were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the room: we found candy and fake nails on the floor. The bathroom is dated and lacks storage space, but it was clean.
The street is quite noisy, and despite the double glazing, the noise is still noticeable.
Overall, I think the room rates are high compared to the hotel's standard.
