"Fantastic property with great location!"
I stayed here in a Premier Plus room for a week while attending a conference at the ExCel Centre and this hotel definitely exceeded expectations.
I’ve traveled to London before and know that hotel rooms in that city can be very small and lacking in amenities, but this was not the case at this property. The room was as spacious as any North American hotel room, with a good sized bathroom that included a full tub and shower. The desk had a decent amount of space for work, and there was a small tea and coffee station with kettle and Nespresso coffee maker. Tea bags, sugar and milk are provided and there are caddies in the hallway and lobby for refills (as well as instant coffee). The closet was a bit small and there was only one drawer but I was solo so it was fine for me. The room also included an iron and ironing board, as well as a separate vanity table with lighted mirror and hairdryer.
There are signs of being a budget hotel, such as fixed times for housekeeping (provided only upon request), lack of conditioner and body lotion (note that the shampoo is also a body wash), and lack of tissues. Also, it is not possible to charge breakfast to the room - payment is taken in advance at the restaurant before you are seated at the table. However, the breakfast was quite tasty.
I also loved the location, just around the corner from Aldgate East Tube station. I was able to easily get to ExCel in about 30 minutes by taking the District line one stop to Whitechapel, then taking the Elizabeth Line from there. It is also possible to take the Elizabeth Line between the hotel and Heathrow in about an hour. (For those with luggage, note that there is no escalator at Aldgate East.) Tower Hill is about a 10 minute walk, and the main sites of London are mostly within a half hour Tube or bus ride away. Brick Lane and Spitalfields are a short walk from the hotel.
I paid less than what the other conference hotels were charging - about 1300 pounds for the week. Would certainly return the next time I’m in London.

"Great location, spotless, brekki let it down"
We’ve stayed in several Premier Inn hotels across the UK, which is why this visit was particularly disappointing. The room we were given felt noticeably smaller than what we’re used to, and the lighting was poor—especially in the hallway by the door where the mirror is located.
While some traffic noise is expected, this stay was noticeably noisier than others, which affected the overall comfort.
The main issue, and the reason for this review, was the breakfast. The coffee was barely warm, and the continental selection was quite limited, with little variety compared to the English breakfast.
We’re hoping this was just a one-off experience, as we’ve had consistently good stays in the past and will likely continue using Premier Inn in the future.

"Super locations with brilliant staff and clean comfortable rooms"
Absolutely wonderful Premier Inn stay in a beautiful chill area of London with great transport links and many options for good food. As a large party of 9 with you g children the staff at premier inn Aldgate were extremely helpful, warm and friendly. Especially the evening team on the Saturday 2nd May that helped me with some cutlery and Niharika Kotla who supported our family to keep all our luggage and belonging stored safely and assisted with our check out with an extremely friendly and helpful manner. A real credit to the premier inn team. Always love premier inn experience, but I have to say, this was the best one yet! Making the stress of family travel as easy and supportive as possible. Thanks again Niharika!

"Another great stay"
This is our ‘go to’ hotel whenever we are staying in London. The beds are so comfortable and we had zero noise disturbances which we were surprised about seeing as it was the Marathon weekend. Very friendly staff. Earlier breakfast time for the marathon runners (plus bananas and bottled water at reception for them). Handy left luggage service. A brilliant weekend stay.
