"Reflects the excellence of this chain of hotels"
I really like Premier Inn hotels and this one did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and friendly . Our room was spacious and clean. As usual the beds are terrific . One member of staff ‘G’ was particularly helpful . . He assisted me in a few requests with patience and a smile . . You are lucky to have him
"I love staying in a Premier Inn. Always comfortable at a great price"
I’ve left one star off because of attitude of a breakfast staff member He was surly and rude. Didn’t catch his name Demi however was brilliant, friendly & professional
"Excellent value for money, central hotel"
Handy Premier Inn located in a great spot in Edinburgh. Very clean and friendly staff. Special mention to Demi on breakfasts - super friendly and helpful and lots of smiles for so early in the morning!
"Disappointing - poor value, horrible pillows and rubbish wifi"
I am a regular user of Premierinns across the country and find them to be great places to stay: good value and providing everything I need. I never have any problems but unfortunately at this Premierinn I felt really let down. I paid quite a lot of money for the room … more than I normally pay so I wanted everything to be just right but unfortunately, I found the bed uncomfortable, or should I say the pillows. All of them were incredibly thin and very old feeling with the fibres inside matting up and going flat into layers although half of the time they'd fallen down the back of the bed as the bed was on wheels and kept moving forward. As a result it took a very long time to get to sleep each night. I paid extra for “Ultimate” Wi-Fi but the speed was 8 mbps which, let’s face it, is unacceptable and a complete RIP off. I'm sure for £150 a night I could have found somewhere much better, much more central and much more comfortable.
"Good choice for a few days."
I had a ok stay at the Premier Inn Edinburgh Central (Lauriston Place). For the price I paid (around £50 when booked about two months in advance), it was excellent value—definitely 5 stars on that basis. The hotel was clean, my room was quiet, and I had no issues or concerns throughout my stay. The location is quite good: approximately a 15-minute walk to Victoria Street, 20 minutes to the Royal Mile, and just a short distance away from the University of Edinburgh. There are plenty of restaurants on the neighboring streets, plus a grocery store just around the corner, which made it very convenient. For Canadian and American travelers, one thing to note is that the rooms do not come with mini-fridges, which may be different from what you’re used to back home. Overall, this is a reliable, budget-friendly place to stay in Edinburgh with a solid location and everything you need for a comfortable visit.
