Barnstaple hotel

Very bad experience. The room had a stench that took our breath away!!! The staff at reception were very unhelpful. Told us we would have to pay £113 on top of what we paid for an upgrade as they couldn't offer a similar room without a stench. They had no manager that I asked for. So they sent us out, after a 6 hour drive to search another hotel which at the weekend it was a total nightmare!!! Premium prices as well. We still haven't received a refund from premier inn as promised.👎😠

We went for a premier plus room and it was absolutely worth the money. Very clean and very quiet. Chairs, table and coffee machine are a welcomed addition. The staff at the front desk were always polite and helpful. The location is out of town and Barnstaple itself looked a bit sad but this didn’t dampen our stay. We had a free breakfast voucher and the hot food was delicious but the restaurant itself looked tired and grubby. Cleaning staff in the hotel clearly work very hard.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Barnstaple Premier Inn! ⭐️ All of the staff were so lovely, friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel was also really well looked after and had such a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! 😊

Location is excellent for days out in North Devon. A car is really a must to get the maximum out of a stay. The hotel is not the most attractive from the outside but we were super impressed with our upgraded room. LARGE super comfortable bed ans large bathroom. Air con was a bouns in a particularly hot spell. Friendly helpful staff who give us plenty of extra tea and coffee. Downside is Table Table the restaurant attatched to hotel. While the food was well cooked and presented nicely the decor was shabby. Covid stickers still in place, a hole in a lamp caught my eye together with tired dirty paint. The evening barman was abrupt no question. This stopped me giving an excellent rating

The who stay was amazing, staff members was always on hand to help with anything, the restaurant next door was fantastic, even thou they was very short staffed the food was perfect! the bar manager was great, couldn't do enough for everyone. amazing visit overall.
